Our pre-primary classroom are the most happening and cheerful place in our school. We at SKIS ensures holistic, emotional and cognitive development of each and every child.
We believe that “WE ALL ARE UNIQUE’’ – so the teaching or involvement process of pre-primary ensures to make our learning process more
Engaged– Engaging in active learning, in turn promoting long term retention and a boost to their curiosity and inquisitiveness. For example- role playing, group activities, dress up days, and show and tell etc.
Explored– Exploratory activities stimulate neural connections. During exploration children are actually using all their senses while they discover, examine and learn by looking, touching, listening and moving. For example- visit to a fruit market, educational visits, flash cards etc.
Playful– Play allows kids to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, as well as physical, cognitive and emotional strength. Playing activities plays a very important role in the over-all development of kids as they focus on the activity at hands, legs and different body parts. For example- putting together a puzzle, clay/dough activities or playing with a ball or peers in ground etc.
Children grow when they engage, explore and play. When children are allowed and to explore through engagement and play activities their growth results into a healthy development of cognitive skills. Thinking and understanding of the world around us changes time to time and develops from birth to adulthood. Growth of a child is an amalgamation of cognitive skills which include attention, short and long term memory, logic and reasoning, auditory processing and speed, problem solving, reading, etc.
